The Jarasum Jazz Searching for Jazzman Season 2, titled "My First National Tour," is a project presented by the Jarasum Jazz Festival to discover and support emerging artists of the Korean jazz scene.
Targeting young individuals under the age of 29 who are eager to start their music careers, the project will select and support 10 performance teams and 2 individuals in performance planning and promotion. These participants will have the opportunity to perform in series of concerts in Chuncheon, Sejong, Seoul, and Jeonju.
In 2023, Season 1 of Searching for Jazzman held the "Rising Festival," where total of 12 teams performed. Also, 3 teams were selected for album production support, helping them create their first full-length albums. Additionally, 4 aspiring festival planners were chosen to gain practical experience in festival planning and on-site operations.
For Season 2 of Searching for Jazzman in 2024, the program will feature high-quality performances, giving participants the chance to showcase their music to audiences for the first time. This tour aims to provide professional growth experiences by partnering with organizations in four different regions, allowing participants to engage with diverse audiences and perform on various stages.
